To cater for the social and physical wellbeing of the orphans and delinquent youth in our society on a local, provincial and national levels;

Providing food, clothes, hunger alleviation, healthcare, water provisions, disaster response, education, social upliftment, and residential care for orphans, and vulnerable people.

To rehabilitate the drug, and alcohol addicts, and vulnerable youths into meaningful living through Gods word and skills acquisition programs

Develop skills whilst creating jobs to assist the individual to regain selfrespect, thus teaching sustainability to the individuals themselves

The Flames Of Hope Foundation was founded on the flame of hope that lived in the heart of our Founder Mr. Mazibuko who believed that just a little spark of hope is enough to revive a person to start fighting to build/and or rebuild their life. We believe that every child deserves to have a loving home, a family and guardian that cater to the child’s physical and emotional well-being and development. Realizing the need for a home with re-homing services with the best interest of the child, this organization is determined to provide emergency protective care settlement opportunities for vulnerable children within the community This organization does not discriminate on grounds of one’s race, citizenship, disability, religion, sex and / or age, considering that all human beings deserve a decent life.

About The Flames Of Hope Foundation
The Flames Of Hope Foundation is a Non Profit Organization based in the heart of Region (F) in Johannesburg. The organization was founded by Mr. Nathie Mazibuko in April 2019 and registered in April 2021. The Flames Of Hope Foundation is a socially Minded, solutions driven and Multidisciplinary organization that understands the community, the beneficiary needs and requirements. Our strength lies in our diversity, experience and our ability to provide seamless, integrated and practical community development projects.
Our community development projects are premised on displaced people, poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihood, health promotion and personal development programme. The vulnerability of Displaced children and adults creates devastating social, political and economic implications such as crime, drug and alcohol addiction, school drop out, human trafficking etc.60% of our beneficiaries are either homeless due to unemployment and/or addicted to drugs and alcohol, the other 20% are troubled children from various schools, single parents homes. The vicious generational poverty cycle is evident in all the streets and it cannot be ignored anymore hence the structured programmes to holistically address the barriers to the socio economic mainstreaming and participation of our youth and the elderly.
The Flames Of Hope Foundation’s vision is to build a world class orphanage and rehabilitation center for the suffering masses of orphans, street kids, drugs and alcohol addicts, and the hope of the deaf community in South Africa, to alleviate poverty and deprivation through excellent services and charity programs.
Is not just to provide food, education and shelter, but also to instill morals to help our children grow, learn, and eventually become independent.

From a security guard to a Philanthropist/Chairman of own Organization.
Nathie Mazibuko narrates his humble beginnings and the events that led to the opening of The Flames of Hope Foundation amid lockdown 2020.
Nathie Mazibuko used to work as a night guard at a building in downtown Johannesburg back in 2013.He always had a soft spot for people regardless of whatever social stratification they fell under. He narrates how he used to light up a fire every night and everyone would just join in. Different people always came through, from the sex workers, to fellow guards and the street roamers and he would welcome them because he believed that people are different and that is exactly what makes them unique and beautiful, which mirrored the differed colors that make up the rainbow.
To be a nationally recognized Orphanage and Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa and expand to the SADAC region,
– To open up an additional centres across the country
– To rescue as many kids as possible off the streets and help them live a decent life
Short term :
Facilitate the feeding scheme, supplying clothes, blankets to the young homeless children (boys and girls), drug and alcohol addicts’ youth in Johannesburg metro.
Provision of food, temporary shelter and the necessary assistance to the homeless and those suffering from addiction of substances.
Medium term:
Provide shelter and skills for the rehabilitated individuals through skills development programmes.
– To assist victims of various traumatic events
– To empower the rehabilitated back into society to become employees in the workforce, community builders and responsible members of the society
– To house a minimum of 150 children before December 2025
